Extra Low Energy series - These are the smallest and most compact units in our capacitor discharge product line.
Each unit is contained in a single compact bench mount enclosure,
capable of charging Alnico, ferrite and small volumes of rare earth magnet materials and are adaptable to charging coils, multipole fixtures or charging transformers for applications requiring
solid copper and iron fixtures. The base level of stored energy is fully adjustable up to 50 joules. However, if your requirements change and more stored energy is required, the base energy level can
be increased from 50 joules to 1,000 joules.
The XLE Series of Magnetizers are self-contained units which are small enough to be conveniently located on a work bench. The LE, HE and XHE Series Magnetizers are
configured with all power elements contained in one enclosure and the operating controls contained in a separate enclosure. Only the fixture and control enclosure
need to be placed at the work station. Electrical interlocks are provided in all models for operator safety.
The stored energy available in any given model, is adjustable from zero to its maximum
rated energy level, allowing the operator the flexibility of either reducing the charge time, when the maximum energy level is not required or reducing the energy level to
adapt to a different fixture for a new application. However, the energy storage bank for each model, can be expanded within its specified energy range to enhance system
upgrading and avoid costlyobsolescencewhen application requirements change.
The cycle rates for capacitor discharge systems have been conservatively rated for
long-term reliability and are based on charge rates recommended by the manufacturers of the capacitors used in our energy storage banks. However, there
are some production applications that dictate a reduced cycletime while maintaining maximum energy output. Such conditions can be achieved with the understanding
that there may be a trade off in the long term performance of the storage capacitors. However, our application engineers will work with you to determine the best system
and cycle rate for each application and recommend proper maintenance, so that unexpected down time can be avoided.
Conservative designs, and the use of high quality components all add up to produce
products that will provide the long term reliability expected from capital equipment.
