General Purpose Demagnetizers

The WSI general purpose 50/60 Hz demagnetizers generate approximately 300 oersteds in a 2-inch aperture, offering broad range demagnetization.

Two models are available, designed to be used for industrial, medical and scientific applications where general purpose demagnetization of manufactured parts, tools and surgical instruments is required. In addition, these units can also be used for classroom demonstration purposes.

The DM-1 is a manual on/off demagnetizer designed to accommodate a broad range of items which will pass into a 2-inch aperture. The item to be demagnetized must only be passed into the aperture and out of the field to insure proper demagnetization.

The DM-2A is an automatic on/off demagnetizer with the same 2-inch aperture as the DM-1 but with the added convenience of automatic on/off for rapid and precise demagnetization. The item to be demagnetized will automatically energize the DM-2A when entering the aperture and will automatically turn the unit off when leaving the aperture to insure proper demagnetization. Items as small as a sewing needle will energize the DM-2A.
