The TCSC-2 temperature measurement and control system allows analysis of magnetic material properties over a temperature range of -40°C to +300°C. This compact fixture is compatible with most Walker Scientific electromagnets, and can be ordered as a stand-alone device, or integrated with an AMH Series Automatic Magnetic Hysteresisgraph.
The high temperature coil set in the TCSC-2 incorporates multiple sense coils for precise measurement of B, H and B minus-H field components, as well as a built in
thermocouple to accurately measure the temperature at the sample. This thermocouple can be monitored on a digital thermometer (optional), or fed directly
into the AMH system console for automatic temperature recording with the other test results.
Dual electric heating elements are used to ensure uniform chamber temperature
and rapid heating. The precision, closed-loop digital temperature controller actually learns the temperature rise and fall times of the fixture, and uses this information to compensate for overshoot.
Built-in high permeability pole pieces are height adjustable to compensate for slight differences in sample size, and thermally insulated to reduce heat sinking by the electromagnet.
The TCSC-2 is controlled and monitored through the AMH Hysteresisgraph system software.
