We offer two 10-inch variable gap electromagnets used primarily for research and material evaluation.
The largest in our series of variable gap electromagnets, these 10-inch units are used where very high field performance is
required. In addition to the flexibility of a variable gap electromagnet, fields in excess of 34KG are routinely made with pole caps tapered to a 2.4" (6 cm) face diameter at 11.25 kW. However, these systems
can operate continuously from a 14.25 kW power source.
HV-10H
is a horizontal field variable gap electromagnet with two movable poles providing an air gap from 0.065" to 8.25" with intercoil spacing of 8.25".
