We offer two 10-inch variable gap electromagnets used primarily for research and material evaluation.
The largest in
our series of variable gap electromagnets, these 10" units are used where very high field performance is required. In addition to the flexibility of a variable gap electromagnet, fields in excess of 34 kGauss
are routinely made with pole caps tapered to a 2.4" (6 cm) face diameter at 11.25 kW. However, these systems can operate continuously from a 14.25 kW power source.
HV-10V
is a vertical field variable gap electromagnet with one top movable pole offering an adjustable air gap from 0.065" to 5.5" and intercoil spacing of 8.25". This unit is used primarily for evaluation of rare-earth magnetic materials.
